Me and my roommate started watching 'Jerry Signfeld' at around 12am. After that, he put in another move, whose name I dont remember. It turned out to be a crappy movie. It got over at around 3:30. After that, we put in yet another movie 'Billy Madison' Finally, at 5:30 I went to sleep, but had to wake up at 9 to get ready and go to the office.

I'm working on this VB app, also designing the complete backed, coding the backend and then going to test it.

Then I'll have to write the whole GUI all by myself.

I wish I had somebody to work under me.

*sigh* Its been a while since I've posted anything here.

My website SoftwareFreaks got hacked a few days. Now I am planning to take down the website and write it from scratch. Any volunteers for help? Do write to me.

The new website shall contain message posting and commenting and user database. Maybe I'll add a chatroom. And reviews on books, software etc. And programming articles.

Need suggestions.

Umm... nothing else seemed to have happened in the last few weeks. Oh yes, I remember... aaa... nevermind, I forgot.

I've been posting on expert-exhange.com lately and have earned about a 1000 expert points in a week! I like the concept of this website. You have limited points to ask questions. If you answer others questions, you get expert points. If you earn enough expert points, you get unlimited question points. Or you can buy question points. It has kept the comments and answers to questions good, qualitywise.

More blogging next week... I hope Erik and Joe are still reading my blog.

Another week coming to an end. Nothing has changes. Not much to report this week.

Bought Dominoes game today. The suggested price on it was $50, but I got it for $5 in clearance. I am excited to go home and play it.

My machine at work got fried and so I lost a months worth of work. That is the saddest part of this week so far. Rest is not so bad. Life goes on...

The trip to Pittsburgh was good. Me, Siddharth and Kartik drove to Pitts and returned at 11:30 pm. After coming back we were pretty tired and I went to sleep. Thats the update for this weekend.

Reading Erik's Blog is always interesting. Especially the story about the crooks living in his neighborhood.

I did have some good time on saturday. Ofcourse I am not going to write what I did on saturday (its too long, and besides, I am too hungry right now), but we did have a good time.

Its time to check Joe's website now.

*Sigh* Oh well... its not all that bad afterall.

The trip to Farmington Hills went pretty smoothly. Although I couldnt manage to meet a few people since I had to return the car and had to leave early, the trip was nice.

The trip to Chicago wasnt so good afterall. But, it proved to be an adventure :)

I played Command and Conquer - Red Alert II today in the Computer Club. The last level in 'Revenge of Yuri' is pretty tough, but I managed to beat the computer easily.

I am currently working on a script that reads entries from an LDAP tree and spits them out on an HTML page. Later, I am planning to write scripts for modifying these entries. Ed's written a page to add new entries. Combining these pages would give us the complete set of tools to access the LDAP tree.

I am planning to go to Chicago this coming tuesday. Lets see how it goes.

Played Wolfenstien with Kartik today and I kicked ass. It was so much fun to kill him all the time.

Lets see... I am still looking for a job and still working on the PHP LDAP pages. Not much has happened in life since the past month. Watched 'Biker Boys', 'They', 'Campfire Stories' and a few other crappy movies in the last few days.

SoftwareFreaks is down again. :(

Its been a week since the semester got over. And there are no jobs on campus. I am bored.

Now to think of ways to get traffic here.

I have finally finished working on my other website ashishkasturia.com. I have moved all the downloads, tutorials and articles on that website.

Created a dynamic pie chart generator. Also added a few pages of HOW-TOs. Its available for download now!

Finally done with the Story generator on the Miscellaneous page. Whenever I create another story, after specifying the fields and their descriptions, it automatically appears on the stories page. It took a while to design the entire stuff. I have also created one story and its showing up on the list.

Changed a few links, added a Miscellaneous page, photoshopped a fly...

Todays test was good. I think I have got all the answers right.

The movie party at Matt's place was good. We saw Tron, Office Space and Batman. I passed out while watching Batman and woke up at the end.

I forgot to register for the TC match yesterday. I better not forget it next week.

Another boring day. I have to wait in the Computer Club till half past five so that I can go to my FCL 602 class and get bored for another three hours.

The job fair in Holland was awesome. I took 10 copies of my resume with me and ended up giving a couple to some companies who I know wont hire me for their available position of a dish washer. Damn, it sucked. Drove all the way to Holland in the cold weather, had breakfast at KMart (one hotdog with crappy cheese on it), submitted resumes just for the heck of it, then drove back to Kalamazoo. What an adventure.

Today I wrote the tutorial/article PHP script. It lets me insert articles and tutorials on my website using mysql databases.

Its been raining the whole day. And its damn chilly outside. Its supposed to be spring. But then, its Michigan.

Night before yesterday, I had lots to drink and then I puked 4 times before crashing into my bed.

Second class today and I havent bought the calculator yet. I hate to spend bloddy 20 bucks on a calculator that I wont be using after this class. But the teacher insists on it.

Yesterdays class was OK. Had to sit in the class for 3 whole hours. After I went home I forgot to register for the TC match :( I really wanted to compete yesterday. The next match is on next Wednesday. Cant wait.

Classes start today. I have one class Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9PM

The damned FTP still doesnt work. It doesnt allow anonymous access to my website. Something is goofed up. I wrote my web host an email regarding this and hopefully they'll fix it. - Hopefully.

Fixed a lot of broken links today. Now most of the things look okay. Anyways... I have no idea why my blog is being crawled so many times by a few website.

Finally all the pages are up and running.

The nameservers have been updated. The pronethosting website got hacked yesterday and so couldnt log in for a day.

John also subscribed to the same webhosting service on my advice. Hope it turns out to be a good deal.

Finally got the webspace I wanted on pronethosting.net at an amazing rate of $5 per year. I copied my files here and am waiting for the domain to get transferred to pronethosting. Till then, I cannot make changes to the DNS records.

Yippieeee! The visitor counter on the website crossed the 2000 mark today!
I have created new pages under the 'Software' section today. And it works great. Lots of coding went into it, but it was worth it. Now all the files under any subdirectory under 'software' will have the same look and feel.

Kamlesh has got two NICs for his computer. Now I have to plug in 3 NICs in one computer and configure 3 networks. One network is for the uplink to the internet through the DSL modem, the other one connects to the other PC on a LAN via a crossover cable.

Then it would be time to play multiplayer games. Empire Earth.

The search engines are crawling all over my website these days. I wonder why.

Today I managed to connect the PC and Hardik's laptop with a crossover cable. The next challenge is to buy a hub and connect two computers together, so that they all can access the internet and we can play multiplayer games.

Its difficult to write a blog when your roommate is snoring like a monster besides you.

The page hits are slowly approaching 2000! Yoohooo!

Changed the look and feel of the whole website today. I think it looks much better. Also, I took the applets off the page since they slowed down the loading.

Trying to find a job. I hope I get one soon.

I am back in Kalamazoo.

Almost done packing today. Tomorrow I have to catch a train to Mumbai, and 2 days after that, a flight to Kalamazoo.

My ticket to the US is booked for the 17th of this month. Its the same old flight route - Mumbai - Amsterdam - Detroit - Kalamazoo.

Looking forward to the long and tiresome journey. I hope to have a lot of spiced rum and watch a lot of movies on the way ;-)
